My name is Marie-Christine but I have been called MC since I was a child. This is why you see my MC logo on every page.

What drives me in my work?

Inspire people to be open to different perspectives.

Over the past 25 years I have been active in the cultural sector. I started as a driver at De Vliegende Panters and worked for Niek Barendsen & Maaike Martens during the summers at the traveling theatre festival De Parade. My first professional production work began.

At the festival I learned to use my orgnisational talent more and I started working as a production manager for several companies such as the Ashton Brothers, Slåpstick and Het Nationale Theater (formerly Nationale Toneel) and many others.I finally worked in the Compagnietheater in Amsterdam where i was responsible for the Sales & Planning.

My love for photography arose at an early age. I always went about with my camera. I started serious photography when I got my first Nikon analog camera. I combine it with my digital camera and now also my phone is serving as a camera.

Photography and travelling go hand in hand in my life. I have been travelling  a lot since I was young. I got this passion from my family and I continued doing it. There is a lot to see and experience. And my camera has always been with me.

In 2023 I felt space to focus more on my own creativity and dared to take the step and surprise those around me by realizing my long-cherished and well-kept dream. I held my first exhibition for a small group of friends and family which resulted in my website.
